Temporary Exhibitions

The temporary exhibitions are one of the main attraction forces of the museums. Considering the importance and richness of the Museu do Caramulo collections it could not ignore this very important function as a museum, promoting a closer relationship between the surrounding community by offering the visitor a more stimulating visit.

And so in 2002 a program for temporary exhibitions was created with the objective of promoting and rejuvenating the museum, involving institutions and collectors in the realization of culturally stimulating events for a diverse public.

This temporary exhibition program includes themes that relate to the automobile history and to the art collection as well as others. The objective is to open the museum to other collections introducing a more accessible, albeit precise, aspect to the pieces showed creating new experiences for the public.

For this reason the Museu do Caramulo organizes temporary exhibitions inside and outside of it's doors, inviting collections from different sources so as to guarantee a rotation of the different themes and to allow the exhibition of the museums collection in other locations.
