Temporary ExhibitionsMuseu do Caramulo: 50 Years of Art in Motion The Museu do Caramulo organized the temporary exhibition “Museu do Caramulo: 50 Years of Art in Movement” to commemorate the launching of the Catalogue of it’s collection. It was a one time opportunity to see in Lisbon pieces from artists such as Picasso, Léger or Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, and pieces from the automobile, motorcycle and bicycle collection of the Museu do Caramulo. The exhibition and the launching of the catalogue took place in Palácio Foz, where in 1956, Abel de Lacerda organized an exhibition with the intent to promote his idea for the creation of the actual Museu do Caramulo. This exhibition also intended to salute the brothers Abel and João de Lacerda, founders of the Museu do Caramulo. The catalogue was presented by Ms Raquel Henriques da Silva and the exhibition was inaugurated by the Minister of Culture, Pedro Roseta. Ocurring between 31st October and 9th November 2003, the exhibition was supported by Banco Português de Negócios, Portugal Telecom, Lusitânia Seguros, Instituto da Comunicação Social, Câmara Municipal de Lisboa and Câmara Municipal de Tondela. |
