Na Paisagem – Collection from the Serralves Foundation

The Museu do Caramulo received the thematic exhibition "Na Paisagem – Collection from the Serralves Foundation" in the main building of the museum between the 4th and the 7th of December 2003.

The exhibition included various Portuguese and foreign artists such as Fernando Calhau, Noronha da Costa, Alberto Carneiro, Dan Graham, Hamish Fulton, Roni Horn, and others.

"The relation between Art and Scenery was always, during the history of Art, stimulation for the artistic creation and for the expression of a idiosyncratic relation of the artists with the world they live in.(…) Contemporary art has been in the center of some of the moments in this relationship, changing the concepts for art object, for place and for scenery, as can be noted in the selection of objects".

There were also visits for schools organized by the education services of the Museu do Caramulo.

This exhibition was part of the visit to the permanent collection of the Museu do Caramulo, with the collaboration of the Serralves Foundation and the support of the Banco Português de Negócios.
